Letters From the Front

Thank You

Wanted to send a sincere thank you for the care packages me and my troops received today. We are currently serving in a small camp in Afghanistan. The amenities can be few and far between here. While we know we are doing good in this country are days are long 12+ hours a day, usually 7 days a week. It is nice to know that outside of our families that there are still those willing to sacirifice their time and products to give us a little taste of home while we are away. I know me and my troops greatly appreciate the care packages. Thank you once again.

Dear Tony,

Hey, this is Sgt. Martin. I’m a recipient of one of the many packages that you took the time and money to put together. Man, we sure do appreciate the support. You know people like yourself really make our job easy to do because you always appreciate what we work hard doing. Even though we are working abroad, you understand the sacrifices that we need to make to keep the trouble from coming home to the states.

I don’t know if you had the pleasure to serve or do any time in a war-torn third world countryt, seems as if you have, life Afghan. We are doing some good work, but it’s hard to change a lifetime of oppression. The people want a change but need lots of encouragement in order to reach the first step.

Just wanted to drop a line to thank you and anyone that helped you to support us. Don’t know if you know 1st Sgt. Pinkerton personally, but thanks alot and that from my Marines also.

Keeping us focused…

Good Morning Mr. Butters,

I would like to thank you on behalf of Company D, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 3. We have received several packages from your fine outfit. I must say in my 22 years of service the Nation’s Gratitude is at an all time high. As a Desert storm veteran I don’t quite recall getting the Letters, Boxes and support anywhere near as good as you and some of the other organizations are sending out. It is fine Americans like you that keep my Marines focused and your support is a constant reminder of what it is all about. Thank you again and please pass on our thanks to all of your support network.

Such a nice surprise…

I just wanted to write a sincere thank you for the wonderful care package that was deliver to me on my first day here. I had been away from home for almost two weeks already, and was really feeling stressed from all the travel and sleepless nights. It was such a nice surprise to receive a package right after my arrival. I’m sure to put the items contained within to good use! Thank you again!
